On reaching Adum, the protestors decided to veer off course and march to the regional EC office nearby but the police in a swift fashion prevented them from doing so fearing they might attack officials there.

Bekwai NDC Chairman attacked The Bekwai Constituency Chairman of the NDC Salisu Musa, in is said to be in critical condition at the Accident and Emergency Centre of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital following an attack on him by some unidentified assailants Thursday evening.

Bekwai Municipal Police Commander DSP Daniel Amoako, who confirmed the incident to Luv News' Kwabena Ampratwum, said that Mr Musa was attacked at Behinase, a suburb of Bekwai.

He said the victim was returning from nature’s call in the bush when the assailants pounced on him, inflicting multiple machete wounds on his head and hands and fracturing his jaw in the process.

NDC supporter stabbed in Accra The Greater Accra Police Commander, DCOP Patrick Timbilla, has confirmed that a man believed to be a supporter of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has been stabbed near the Iran Clinic around the Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra.


The man whose identity is not yet known was attacked by irate fans of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) who had converged at the Obra Spot which is a stone throw away from where he was attacked.


DCOP Timbilla said the police around the area rescued the victim who has been rushed to the hospital. He assured the public to remain calm and admonished supporters of the NDC against reprisal attacks.


Supporters of the NPP on Monday nearly lynched journalists with Joy FM in-front of the residence of their flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo, who has vowed to challenge the results of the just ended Presidential elections.
